Hardware
Hardware is an umbrella term for all immovable and indestructible solid infrastructure of the level. They form the permanent skeleton of each level.
Hardware cannot be passed through, destroyed, pushed, or altered in any way, save for disintegration. It defines the hard limits of the level โ borders, separating chambers, forming corridors and ensuring that certain structures remain intact no matter what chaos unfolds nearby. Explosions leave it untouched, making them a reliable constant in an otherwise dynamic environment.
All hardware variants are considered not rounded โ rolling objects will stay still on top of hardware without rolling off.
Explosions stain hardware elements by depositing black soot on them, making soot the only sign that an explosion had place.
Variety
Hardware appears in multiple variants, but they are all equally immovable and indestructible.
